We are excited to share Lake Katonah with you.

Lake Katonah in located in Westchester County, roughly one hour north of New York City. The area is known for its stellar schools, dense forests, winding roads, and an artsy, robust community. 

It is our oasis. 

Marianne and John Shearer moved to Lake Katonah in the mid 80's, and Alison grew up swimming, ice skating and playing lakeside. Over the past six years, Alison and Byran have enjoyed visits to the lake and have brought many friends up for picnics, boating, swimming and barbecues. When Bryan broke his foot last summer, he spent most days down by the lake reading, sunbathing and healing.

It's quite nostalgic to have our wedding in this environment. 

Travel and Accommodations 

For comfort and convenience we have blocked rooms at a beautiful hotel called Doral Arrowwood about 25 minutes from Lake Katonah. There will be a shuttle bus to take guests from the hotel to the wedding and back. For directions to the Arrowwood please visit their website or call the front desk at 914-939-5500 . Mention the Shearer and Walters Wedding Room Block when booking your room in order to receive the wedding discount.

For guests not staying at the hotel, parking is available at the foot of the clubhouse. Should the lot fill up, you may park you car on the side of the road, adjacent to the lake.

7:00 - Dinner and Dancing in the Clubhouse and under the stars 

11:00 - Shuttle Bus departs

12:00am - Afterparty at the Arrowwood Pub
